Description
Congregation Beth Evergreen celebrates 50 years!
EVERGREEN, Colo., Aug. 13, 2024 – Congregation Beth Evergreen, a beloved spiritual home for the mountain-area community and an integral part of Denver’s Jewish landscape, is commemorating its 50th anniversary. Founded in 1974 as a small gathering of families, the synagogue has flourished into a welcoming and thriving center for joyful worship, meaningful education for all ages, and a hub for interfaith collaborations such as the creation of the Evergreen Shelter Program.
About Beth Evergreen
Established in 1974, Beth Evergreen is a member of the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation and respects and fosters inclusive Judaism. Jews from a wide variety of backgrounds, including Conservative, Reconstructionist, Reform and Interfaith families can enjoy the experiences of religious school, Sabbath, holiday services, celebrations, and life-cycle events. Located in the mountains of Evergreen and set peacefully next to Elk Meadow, this almost-50-year-old organization opened the doors to its new synagogue building in 2003. And since 2005, CBE has nearly doubled in size (more than 200 households) and scope in partnership with its beloved, long-term rabbi, Jamie Arnold.
