Youth Summer Camp Coach

Job Description:

As a Youth Summer Camp Coach, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the summer camp experience for our young participants. Your responsibilities will include supervising and leading group activities, fostering a supportive environment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision: Provide attentive guidance during various camp activities, ensuring the safety of campers at all times.

• Activity Facilitation: Lead engaging and age-appropriate games and exercises that promote teamwork and personal growth.

• Role Modeling: Set a positive example for campers, encouraging respect, responsibility, and inclusivity.

• Conflict Resolution: Address behavioral issues promptly and constructively, maintaining a harmonious camp environment.

• Safety and Emergency Response: Enforce safety protocols and respond effectively to emergencies or hazards.

• Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with campers and fellow staff members.

• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the camp program.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children and teenagers preferred

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities

• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification preferred

• Passion for outdoor activities and youth development

• Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic team environment

Work Details:

• Dates: Summer camp runs from May 26th to August 8th, Monday through Friday

• Hours: 9:00 am to 2:30 pm 

• Pay Rate: $15 per hour

• Work Environment: Eudaimonia’s indoor and outdoor facilities

• Successful employment contingent on passing a background check and participating in mandatory employee trainings
