Job Title: Community Outreach Specialist

Pay Rate: $16/hour

Work Schedule: Primarily Monday and Wednesday at Aspen Park Vet Hospital (8:00 am - 3:00 pm). This position also includes some work-from-home hours and participation in off-site events (e.g. hanging flyers, manning booths, assisting with fundraisers, etc...). Estimating 24-32 total hours per week.

Job Summary:

The Community Outreach Specialist will play a vital role in promoting Aspen Park Vet Hospital and the ResqRanch within the local community. This exciting position involves a mix of on-site work at the hospital, remote work, and participation in community events. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with reliable transportation, a passion for animal welfare, and a knack for connecting with people.

Responsibilities:

• Represent Aspen Park Vet Hospital and the ResqRanch at community events, including manning booths, distributing promotional materials, and engaging with attendees.

• Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events and parties, contributing to the success of these vital initiatives.

• Manage promotional items, ensuring adequate stock levels and requesting additional materials as needed.

• Proactively engage with the local community to raise awareness of Aspen Park Vet Hospital and the ResqRanch's mission and services.

• Collaborate with other staff members to support various initiatives and ensure smooth operations.

• Contribute creative ideas for outreach programs and community engagement opportunities.

• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude while representing the organizations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Genuine enthusiasm and excitement for the missions of the ResqRanch and Aspen Park Vet Hospital.

• Self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work independently.

• A passion for connecting with people.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, for community events.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
