Pay rate: Competitive salary + Quarterly Performance Bonuses

Work Schedule: Full-time. The clinic is open Monday through Saturday. GM  would work 4-5 shifts weekly, depending on the needs of the clinic.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as General Manager and help guide our practice to the next level of growth and service excellence.

Job Summary: The General Manager at Aspen Park Vet Hospital will be responsible for the overall success and forward momentum of the clinic. This role is key to overseeing all non-medical operations and ensuring the highest standards of care and service. The ideal candidate is a leader dedicated to creating a remarkable experience for every client by fostering a culture of continuous improvement. They will guide the team in using daily insights to develop ever-improving systems and empower our people. This position answers directly to the leadership team and defers to veterinarians on all medical matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all non-medical daily operations of the hospital, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.

  • Lead, manage, and develop the hospital team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, translating daily lessons into refined processes and team development initiatives to enhance the client experience.

  • Drive clinic growth by identifying opportunities, setting goals, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and profitability.

  • Manage hospital finances, including budgeting, inventory management, and financial reporting to the leadership team.

  • Collaborate closely with all departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.

  • Foster a positive and supportive team environment that promotes open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for non-medical client concerns, resolving issues effectively and empathetically.

  • Ensure the hospital is compliant with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Assist the team in cleaning the hospital, including the removal of dog poop from the grounds.

  • Lead the effort to rehome unused equipment. We would like to donate extra equipment to clinics in underserved areas of the world whenever possible.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a management or leadership role; veterinary practice management experience is a plus, but an excellent and adaptable applicant from another industry should apply.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, build, and motivate a team.

  • Long-term growth mindset, seeking to continuously improve each day.

  • Strong business acumen with experience in financial management, budgeting, and operational efficiency.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a genuine love for animals.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience and a proven record of excellence will be considered.
