Hunter Lovins, recognized worldwide as an expert in sustainable practices for companies and communities, will speak in Golden at a free public event sponsored by The Jefferson County League of women Voters.Lovins' address begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 8 at the American Mountaineering Center, 710 10th St., Golden. Members of the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions. Lovins has authored and co-authored numerous books and has done consulting work for governments and the private sector. Time Magazine named her "Hero for the Planet" in 2000 and Newsweek named her "Green Business Icon" in 2009.
