Description
Newbery Honor recipient Ingrid Law will be the guest author at HearthFire Books in Evergreen 5 p.m. Nov. 18. Law, whose book Savvy was named a Newbery Honor Book, will read from and sign her new book, Scumble, the enchanting companion to Savvy.
Law, a Colorado resident, writes primarily for children 8 to 12 years of age. Her newest book is set nine years after Mibs?s Savvy journey when her cousin Ledge has just turned 13. ?If only awesome magical powers came with an instruction manual...?
Named for eighteenth-century British bookseller John Newbery, the Newbery Medal is awarded annually to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children. Law is certainly among the most distinguished.
