Description
Award winning program abut the Colorado Judiciary on tap
Ever wonder who chooses Colorado's judges? Or how they are evaluated or disciplined? The Jefferson County League of Women Voters is hosting a public educational program entitled "Our Courts" on these issues. The program is one of a series created by the Colorado Judicial Institute and the Colorado Bar Association which has won the national Burnham "Hod" Greeley Award for its role in understanding the impact of a fair and impartial judiciary in applying and preserving the rule of law in a democratic society. Mark C. Poutler, Senior Chief Deputy District Attorney for the First Judicial District Attorney's Office, is the presenter. For more information, call Lynne at 303-985-5128. Reservations are not required.
