Description
Sara Nassr would like us to know what her beloved country was like before war, what it is like now, and what it means to immigrate to America. Sara, a 21 year old refugee from Damascus, has an eloquence and wisdom beyond her years. Her familiarity with the history and situation in Syria and her first-hand experiencewith the many steps required to immigrate to the USA should provide valuable insight to those of us who only hear and seethe Syria that’s portrayed in the news.
Please come listen to Sara’s story at the Church of the Transfgurationon Monday, August 7th at 6.00 p.m. Evergreen Rotary Club Members Volunteer with the International Rescue Committee to Help Refugee Families in Colorado, and will provide refreshmentds for the event.
