Description
“Growing Legacy of Good Works” is the theme for the 21st annual Good News Celebration Breakfast, set for 6:59 to 8:29 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 West 6th Ave. in Golden.
This year’s breakfast will celebrate and honor up to 12 individuals or groups of individuals who unselfishly have helped build a better Jefferson County over the years. 2011 is Jefferson County’s 150th birthday and it is fitting to honor those who have strengthened our community by preserving its history.
Nomination forms will be sent to community organizations in February and are available to the public online at www.goodnewsjeffco.org. Forms are due back by Friday, March 11 to be considered. In selecting honorees, The Good News Coalition will consider an individual or groups of individuals meeting one or more of the following criteria that makes Jefferson County a better place to live.
· Direct involvement in preserving the history of Jefferson County; and/or
· Supports those preserving our history via resources (financial, volunteer,
and/or in-kind).
The purpose of the Good News Breakfast is to further develop a sense of community, enhance and reaffirm spiritual values and recognize the good things happening in Jefferson County. Volunteers representing business, faith-community, human services, education and government organizations organize the annual event, which traditionally draws over 500 people.
Sponsorships are available to promote your business or organization, please contact Bill Lavarnway at 303-987-9097 for more information. Invitations will be mailed in March and published in editions of the Mile High Newspapers several weeks before the breakfast. Those wishing to attend may also print out a copy of the invitation available in March at www.goodnewsjeffco.org.
