Description
Caregiver Survival Skills is a free educational series presented by the Mountain Caregivers Resource Group. December’s topic, “Effective Communication Strategies for Caregivers,” will be presented by a representative of the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado. The program teaches caregivers to decode verbal and behavioral communication by someone with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Participants gain strategies for meaningful connection with people in early-, middle- and late-stage dementia. The free seminar will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Evergreen Fire & Rescue Administration Building, 1802 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen. Reservations are recommended.
