The Evergreen Chamber Orchestra will present its Season Opener Concert Oct. 5 at 3:00 p.m. at Rockland Community Church, near Genesee. The featured soloist will be Ted Homan, Principal Clarinetist, performing two widely differing works - Poulenc's Clarinet Sonata and Artie Shaw's jazzy Clarinet Concerto. Both works are very exciting in their different styles. The orchestra will also perform Beethoven's Leonore No. 3 Overture and Schubert's Symphony No. 5. The concert will be followed by a reception where audience members will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the musicians and other attendees.
