Description
Everyone loves Jefferson County Open Space parks, but who lived here? How did these lands become so beloved and open to the public? Join us as we share the natural and cultural history of the land including fun hands-on activities and fascinating insight about the animals, people, and places that make up our beautiful parks. No need to reserve your spot: just come on by between the given times and spend a few minutes looking at props or doing an activity. The naturalist will be set up at the trailhead of Lair o' the Bear Park, just off of the parking lot. Look for the chalkboard sign. Registration is not required for this program. Please drop by anytime between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm to talk with a naturalist. Education Stations are short, casual drop-by programs. No pre-registration is required. Programs are limited by weather please call Lookout Mountain Nature Center, 720-497-7600, for updates.
