DECADENT DESSERT TEA
Description
VALENTINE'S DESSERT TEA AT HIWAN HOMESTEAD MUSEUM Contact person: Meghan McGinnes, 720-497-7650 Hiwan Homestead Museum is hosting a Valentine's Dessert Tea on Monday, February 9 at 1:30 P.M. Please join us for a decadent dessert tea to celebrate the romance of Valentine's Day. A special presentation about vintage handkerchiefs will be given by Vintage Hanky Raconteur Katie Dix. Vintage hankies tell the story of women over the last several centuries. Enjoy an engaging presentation to learn about precious keepsakes we are inheriting from our mothers, grandmothers, and favorite aunts. Appreciate why handkerchiefs are collectibles and learn to recognize handkerchiefs of value. Receive a gift of a new or vintage handkerchief. Don't miss this unique presentation and the opportunity to enjoy dessert and tea in the beautiful setting of Hiwan Homestead Museum! A suggested donation for the tea is $15.00 for the general public; $12.00 for Jefferson County Historical Society Members; and $12.00 per person for groups of 4 or more. Registration is required; for registration or information call the Museum at 720-497-7650. Hiwan Homestead Museum is a 17-room log mansion constructed in the Rustic style of architecture.
