Please Join EPRD and The Lazy Butcher for the first ever Active Adults BBQ Basics Class! In conjunction with The Lazy Butcher of Evergreen, EPRD is excited to invite Active Adults (50+) to attend the BBQ Basics Class! This exciting and edible seminar will draw on hundreds of years of BBQ Traditions and Legacies and provide every attendee with the basic understanding of how to BBQ like a Pro at home! This Class will take place at The Lazy Butcher, located at 30790 Stagecoach Blvd Suite #101, Evergreen CO 80439, and will run from 2:00-3:30PM on Saturday, October 4th 2025. Nick Scafidi, Owner and Master Butcher of The Lazy Butcher & BBQ will be sharing his professional skills and tips on a multitude of topics in the world of BBQ. Some topics of instruction and discussion include: • Protein & Cut selection • Smoking vs. Grilling • Seasonings, Marinades, & Sauces • Butchering & Product Preparation • Basics of Smoking at home • Wood, Time, & Temperature • Side Selection & Pairings • Finishing & The Resting Process …and so much more! Each participant will get a hands-on-experience with several models of smokers, grills, and butcher tools, and will get to take part in a tasting of the best BBQ in Evergreen, CO. Class size is limited and Registration is required to attend. Transportation is available for those who would like to ride with EPRD from the Buchanan Rec Center to the Lazy Butcher and back. The new Active Adults Bus Route will be in full force, and will be making it's route around Evergreen to pick up Participants before the event and will offer a drop-off route as well.
