Description
Lessons from the weed world include, "Pretty doesn't make up for bad behavior,? "Share your space or you'll get sent home,? "Domination isn't edible" and, "Friends don't let friends ignore their weeds.? Join Cathy Shelton of the Community Weed Awareness Campaign for a frank discussion of these adages and more. We'll delve into why some non-natives aren't noxious weeds while others are and why we should care about stopping the spread of weeds. Participants are encouraged to bring plants in for identification and control information in a segment of the class called Stump the Weed Nerds. Each participant will receive a "Garden Smart" booklet. Class size: 15. Ages: 15-plus. Advance registration required, 303-330-0489.
