Description
Thrivent Financial will put Evergreen Christian Outreach staff and volunteers in the hot seat before Thrivent members seeking projects for their Action Teams at a “Shark Tank, Evergreen-style” event on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at 4 PM at EChO.
The event, dubbed “Action Tank,” is loosely patterned on the ABC reality TV show “Shark Tank,” which lets budding entrepreneurs present their ideas to tycoons looking to invest in businesses and products.
The event will run from 4-5 PM in Douglas Hall, next to the Food Bank at EChO, 27640 CO-74, Evergreen, CO 80439. Refreshments will be served.
EChO staff and volunteers will have three minutes to pitch their fundraisers, service projects and educational programs for 2...018 in an effort to interest a Thrivent member. Thrivent members would be asked to commit to supporting these programs with their Thrivent Action Teams.
Thrivent benefit members are eligible to support/lead two Action Team projects per year. The $250 in seed money that Thrivent provides is used to partially offset expenses of EChO running the project. Learn more about Thrivent Action Teams at www.thrivent.com/actionteam.
Thrivent members interested in participating should RSVP by Dec. 31 to bob.hawsey@thrivent.com. Guests are welcome.
If the Action Tank is successful, Thrivent Evergreen will hold similar events with other nonprofits in the future.
No products will be sold at this event.
