Stacy York, LCSW, is an expert in trauma. She is EMDR certified and has trained with Dr. Bruce Perry in brain mapping. She has worked extensively with adoptive and foster families and with children who have experienced trauma. Stacy will begin the workshop by discussing the neurological effects of trauma on children and the developmental and behavioral impacts. She will give practical tools for bonding and aiding in the healing process with your child/children. The knowledge, insight and tools she offers are invaluable!
Marcia Pritchard, LPC and an associate of Ray Lincoln & Associates, is also highly experienced in working with children who have experienced trauma. Also an adoptive mother, she brings a wealth of knowledge and insight in parenting adopted children. Marcia will be presenting on "Understanding your Child's Temperament." You will be able to identify your child's temperament and understand how their core drives and function impact their behavior.
