Description
The Elementary & Pre K-1 Companies of StageDoor Theatre, presents the toe-tappin? tale of Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS. The show is jumpin? with familiar jazzy tunes. Specially adapted from the classic film, this musical includes all your favorite Disney melodies, like ?The Bare Necessities,? and ?I Wan?na Be Like You.? On the run from Shere Khan, a ferocious tiger, a human boy named Mowgli is aided by an agile panther, Bagheera. Along the way, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants, and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin? musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. Shere Khan returns, leading our protagonists to rally their fellow jungle creatures into battle and restore peace to the jungle. Rated G. Directed by Kyrie Biddle and choreographed by Demitra Biddle, performances run from May 8 to May 17, 2014. Curtain for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings is 7:00 PM, while the Saturday matinees begin at 3:00 PM.
