Description
Caregiver Survival Skills is a free educational series presented by the Mountain Caregivers Resource Group. January’s topic, “Living with Alzheimer’s – Middle Stage,” will be presented in two parts by a representative from the Alzheimer’s Association Colorado Chapter. This program will address behavior changes and safety issues. By the middle stage of Alzheimer’s disease, it is obvious that "something is wrong" and that a medical evaluation is necessary. Sometimes the person with Alzheimer’s may be unaware of the decline. The unpredictability of the decline and changing ability of the person to function from day to day can increase caregiver stress. The free seminar will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17 and Tuesday, January 24 at the Evergreen Fire & Rescue Administration Building, 1802 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen. Reservations are recommended. For more information or to RSVP, call 303-674-6400.
