Description
Join the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge and several special guests on Saturday, August 8th 10 am to 2 pm to explore the relationship between dinosaurs and their cousins the reptiles, and their descendants the birds! At the Visitor Center: Wild Wings will be here with live raptors (hawks, falcons, and owls), and the Denver Zoo will be here displaying many awesome reptiles such as snakes, lizards, turtles, and even an alligator! Other special guests include the Morrison Natural History Museum, Rocky Mountain Reptile Rescue, and more! On the Ridge: Scientists will be stationed along the trail to interpret the fossil and geological sites to visitors that hike up. Hiking is free. An optional bus ride will be available to those that would like to visit the sites without walking the whole Ridge at a cost of $4/person (3 and under free).
