Description
JITF Presents Dinner with Melanie Warner "Pandora?s Lunchbox: How Processed Foods Took Over America" Melanie Warner is a former New York Times business reporter who has written for Fortune Magazine, Men?s Journal, and CBSNews.com. Her latest book covers the rise of processed food, its takeover of the American diet, and the laboratories and high-tech facilities that create these cheap, addictive, and nutritionally deficient meals. This is part of our 2013-2014 Friday Night Shabbat Dinner Lecture Series. How it works: We start off with an open bar and drinks followed by short Kabbalat Shabbat Services. This is followed by Kiddush and a buffet dinner that is accompanied by an intriguing lecture and question and answer session. Dessert is then served. Services and buffet for kids is also held concurrently. Open bar at 6 p.m. Dinner begins at 7 p.m.
