Description
This free virtual book club is hosted by Conifer Historical Society and features Amache: The Story of Japanese Internment in Colorado During World War II helps preserve the voices and stories of one of the worst chapters in Colorado's history: the Amache Japanese Internment Camp during World War II. The book was ignited by author Robert Harvey's conversations with survivors of the Amache Internment Camp, whose physical frailness and fading memories drew attention to the urgency of protecting their stories for future generations. Our book club will feature a slide presentation, group discussion and a review of Michelle Schulten’s upcoming March “Your Mountain Connection” article.
