Description
New Chamber Builds Days: Thursday April 4th, Thursday April 25th and Saturday April 27th
register, pick a day and only sign up at
http://bluespruce.volunteerhub.com
As we can only have 8 people on site right now, if your company would like to sponsor or have its own teambuilding build day please give me a call.
The home in Kittredge is another duplex that we are all coming together to create for two families. It is through a unique partnership with AIA, American Institute of Architects and sponsorship from a national partnership with the Lutherans Financials organization.
Please see http://aiacolorado.org/aboutus/LocalChapters/AiaDenver/HabitatforHumanityCompetition.aspx for a great story (pictures and videos )on a project and a home that you will be part of!!!
When you sign up, you will see and receive the information below.
Please carpool when possible. You can park at Kittredge Park, Welch Road and Highway 73 and take one car up. You will need a 4x4 vehicle.
We are looking forward to you joining us at our site at 26230/26232 South End Road, Kittredge (see attached map and directions – not easy find without)
We ask that only 8 volunteers are on site for the day. This allows all to feel engaged and have a good volunteer experience while we are able to be productive in the building of the home.
You are welcome to bring coffee or whatever for your group. We do not provide any drinks or food. We provide the experience, knowledge and skills.
This is all the information you and your team should need along with my phone number below.
· Be advised, please dress warmly, in layers. There may be mud/snow, extra socks might be good to have. The home is built on a slope.
· Please bring a camp chair or something to sit on for lunch and breaks.
· Please bring a sack lunch, water & water bottle, sunscreen
· All tools, hardhats and safety glasses will be provided
· Wear sturdy closed shoes. We recommend work boots if you have them.
· We do ask for a full-day commitment of all our volunteers from 8:30 -4:30 (this is a different start time than usual)
· Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age
· For a map with directions to the site, ( attached)
· If this is your first time volunteering with us in 2012/2013, please sign the waiver and bring to the build site with you (attached)
Please contact Cyndy Cservenyak at ccservenyak@bluesprucehabitat.org or at 562 889 6344 if you need anything.
