Join Dr. Susan Solomon, nationally recognized atmospheric chemist, to hear about the latest scientific research into carbon emissions and climate science as well as reasons why international climate policy is so difficult to achieve. Dr. Solomon was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in 2008. There is a glacier and a saddle in Antarctica carrying Dr. Solomon's name due to her groundbreaking research on CFC's and the ozone layer. She was a co-chair of Working Group I for the last UN IPCC report for which the contributors received the Nobel Peace Prize. Dr. Solomon is an excellent presenter and will present her findings from the perspective of science, not any political platform. If you have questions, doubts, or concerns, please attend this event and feel free to stay afterward for a reception.
