Jeffco LWV sets school board candidate forum in Evergreen
The Jefferson County League of Women Voters is sponsoring a public forum in Evergreen for Jefferson County Board of Education candidates on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Three of five directors are not seeking re-election, including Laura Boggs, Robin Johnson and Paula Noonan. Six candidates, two from each district with a vacancy, include: Tonya Aultman-Bettridge and Julie Williams, District 1; Jeff LaMontagne and John Newkirk, District 2; and Ken Witt and Gordon (Spud) VandeWater, District 5. However, voters elect candidates at large, not just from their own district. The forum is 7-9 p.m. at the Evergreen Fire/Rescue Auditorium, 1802 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen 80439.
