FROM: HIWAN HOMESTEAD MUSEUM, EVERGREEN, CO PRESS RELEASE Note: Please run through August 5 Subject: Children?s ?Victorian Tea & Party? Enjoy the Hiwan Homestead Museum! The annual, just for kids, Children?s Tea, sponsored by the Jefferson County Historical Society, will feature a Victorian Tea and Party on Monday, August 10, 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.. Children age 6 and older are invited to join the fun, which will include tea, light lunch, games, activities & favors. Cost is $8.00 per guest (children only), pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Stop by the Museum or call 720-497-7650 to register or learn more. Hiwan Homestead Museum is a 17-room log mansion constructed in the Rustic style of architecture. It is located in Evergreen at 4208 S. Timbervale Drive and is a Jefferson County Open Space facility operated through a partnership with the Jefferson County Historical Society. The Museum was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Museum hours are 11:00 to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, phone 720-497-7650.
