Spring presents unique challenges to weeders since plants are early in their growth and can be difficult to identify. But spring often is the best time to control emergent plants. Join us at the Evergreen Nature Center for an indoor presentation about the noxious weeds found in our backyards, followed by a field trip around Evergreen Lake to identify weeds and native plants and discuss control methods. Bring garden gloves in case we want to pull a few of the bad guys. The free program will be held regardless of weather on Saturday, May 21 from 10 am–noon. Ages 11 and up. Registration is required either by calling 303-330-0489 or online at www.evergreenaudubon.org.
