The Evergreen Jazz Festival is seeking a part time employee who can assist the all-volunteer board of directors in producing the annual 3-day event each July. Almost everything is in place for 2019, but we would like the employee to join us right away and be paid while learning the inner workings of putting on a festival.
Areas that we would like help with are in marketing, fundraising and operations:
Marketing: telephone, ticket orders, social media, newsletter, sales.
Fundraising: mailings, working with potential corporate donors and service clubs.
Operations: renewing insurance, liquor license, venue and lodging contracts, and recruiting and coordinating volunteers for each.
We recognize that not every person excels or has experience in all these areas. The job description will be tailored to the abilities of the successful candidate and salary will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be able to work from home using own computer. A festival telephone line will be provided. Outgoing personality and ability to work independently are important. Any event-related experience is a plus.
