Resilience Resources for Your and Yours: Free Community Workshop
Love and Logic’s Jim Fay will headline free community workshop
Congregation Beth Evergreen and Resilience1220 are partnering to offer a free mental health awareness workshop called “Resilience Resources for You and Yours” on Sunday, March 1, 2:00–5:00 p.m., at Beth Evergreen (2981 Bergen Parkway, Evergreen). Individuals and families are welcome, and special breakout sessions will be offered for teens and parents of teens.
Jim Fay, founder of Love and Logic and author of the bestseller Parenting with Love and Logic, will give the afternoon’s opening presentation. Several additional sessions will be led by mental health professionals from Resilience1220, a new organization that provides free counseling services to youth ages 12 to 20 in the mountain communities west of Denver.
Workshop participants will explore how to compassionately and effectively respond to depression and anxiety, trauma and loss, and other mental health challenges. They will learn to identify signs of suicidal and self-harm thoughts, and will gain important skills to seek and provide support for those in need.
RSVP to eve@BethEvergreen.org. Visit Resilience1220.org or BethEvergreen.org for workshop schedule and more information.
