DESCRIPTION:Are you a Veteran who has a young child in their life? Know of a Veteran who does? Join Jefferson Center and the Vietnam Veterans Association (VVA) Friday\, April 15 as we meet Captain Luis Carlos Montalv n and his service dog\, Tuesday! This free family event is a special gathering for military families in our community.\n\n \n\nFriday\, April 15\n\n4:00-6:30pm\n\nElks Lodge 1777\n\n1455 Newland St.\, Lakewood\n\n \n\nCaptain Montalv n\, U.S. Army Veteran\, award-winning New York Times best-selling author\, speaker and advocate will read from his best-selling book\, Tuesday Tucks Me In. The first 50 children registered will receive a FREE copy of the book and Captain Montalv n will be signing books at the event. (Additional books will be for sale as well.)\n\n \n\n"Community outreach is an important initiative for us. By partnering with the VVA\, we can expand our reach to more veterans who may not be aware of some of the resources available to them\," Carl LoFaro\, Veteran and Military Family Services program manager and Iraq Veteran said. "At the end of the day\, we want Vets to leave being able to have conversations about their military experience with the kids in their lives."\n\n \n\nThis event is especially for children 10 and under who have a Veteran in their life who they love and care about\, such as a mother\, grandfather\, uncle or family friend.
