DESCRIPTION:"The Venue Theatre Company"\, Conifer's newest theatre education home\, opens its doors to the community on Tuesday\, Aug 13th with a week of free high school workshops and auditions for the fall production of "Hairspray". The fall performance of "Hairspray" will be the first performance in the beautiful new theatre\, "The Venue Theatre Company"\, located in the Conifer Safeway Center.\n\n	\n\n	"The Venue's" opening week will begin Tuesday\, August 13th\, with 3 days of audition workshops\, Tuesday - Thursday\, August 13 - 15\, 4:00 - 7:00 PM. \n\n	\n\n	Free Audition Workshops include vocal work\, monologue reading\, choreography\, and more. The workshops are open to any and all high school students interested in musical theatre. \n\n	\n\n	"Hairspray" character auditions will then be held Saturday August 17\, at 9:00 AM\, with callbacks on Saturday afternoon. Audition days are also free.\n\n	\n\n	At The Venue\, all ages and levels of experience are welcome\, from pre-k through high school. All programs include study in voice\, acting skills and dance/movement. Instruction in technical theater\, including set construction\, lights\, stage management and production\, will also be available. For the high school group\, Hairspray rehearsals will take place this fall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-8:30. Elementary and Middle School programs will begin in September.
