SUMMARY:Evergreen Players Present Night Watch
DESCRIPTION:Evergreen Players present a complex psychological thriller\, Night Watch\, by Lucille Fletcher. \n\nSynopsis: \nUnable to sleep\, Elaine Wheeler (Lisa DeCaro) paces the living room of her Manhattan townhouse\, on a wintery January night\, troubled by unsettling memories and vague fears. Her husband\, John\, (Andy Anderson) tries to comfort her\, but when he steps away for a moment Elaine screams as she sees (or believes she sees) the body of a dead man in the window across the way. The police (Russell Dale and Sean Maslow) are called\, but find nothing except an empty chair. Elaine's terror grows as shortly thereafter she sees still another body?this time a woman's?but by now the police are skeptical and pay no heed to her frantic pleas. John\, claiming that Elaine may be on the verge of a breakdown\, calls in a lady psychiatrist (Michele Wright)\, who agrees with his suggestion that Elaine should commit herself to a sanitarium for treatment. \n\nFrom this point on\, the plot moves quickly and grippingly as those involved?Elaine's old friend and house guest Blanche (Jillann Tafel)\; the inquisitive and rather sinister neighbor (Bob Leggett)\; the nosy German maid Helga (Kathleen Davis)\; and\, local shop owner Sam Hoke (Karl Atkinson) ?all contribute to the deepening suspense and mystery of the play as it draws toward its riveting and chilling climax. \n\nDirected by Linda N. Suttle\, this suspense thriller is being co-produced by Bernie Cardell\, Kathleen Davis\, and Fran Gibson. Glen Ness is the assistant director and stage manager\; set construction is by Biz Schaugaard\, and set design by Bernie Cardell. Costumes are by Cindy Franke\, sound design by Luke Terry\, and photography by Ellen Nelson.
