DESCRIPTION:Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD) invites runners to compete in the 2017 Evergreen Trail Racing Series\, a five-race series of running events on mountainous terrain around scenic Evergreen. Distances range from a 5k to an epic half-marathon to the top of Bergen Peak (elevation 9\,708 feet)\, a climb of well over 2\,000 vertical feet. \n\n \n\nRACE #2 -- EVERGREEN MOUNTAIN 15K\n\nJuly 7\, 2018\n\n8 AM (Registration opens at 7 AM)\n\nAlderfer/3 Sisters Park\, west parking lot\, 5136 South Le Masters Road\, Evergreen\, CO\n\n\n\nThe Evergreen Mountain Trail Race features over nine miles of peaks and valleys. Participants pass the four rock formations called the Three Sisters and Little Brother as they weave their way throughout the course. The ascent up Evergreen Mountain features an elevation gain of over 1\,000 feet\, with runners ultimately reaching an elevation of 8\,400 feet. After completing the summit loop\, runners sprint down Evergreen Mountain to the finish. Runners should meet at the start/finish line at the Alderfer Three Sisters west parking lot. Download race map.\n\n\n\nRace starts at 8:00 AM (pre-registration opens at 7:00 AM).\n\n\n\nPick up your race bib and technical running shirt on race day. Please bring a reusable water bottle to the races.
