ECO is delighted to kick off our 41st Season with two incredible symphonies! The program begins with one of \;ECO Music Director William Hill&rsquo\;s newest compositions \;&ndash\; his \;Symphony No. 4. Bill&rsquo\;s Fourth Symphony is composed in the &ldquo\;classical&rdquo\; style featuring four movements.
\n\nThe second half of the program consists of a classical masterpiece &ndash\; \;Franz Joseph Haydn&rsquo\;s Symphony No. 101 in D Major\, H. 1/101 \;&ndash\; known by its colloquial name &ldquo\;The Clock&rdquo\; for the ticking rhythm throughout the second movement. This work is part of a group of the twelve London Symphonies that Haydn composed during his two visits to London. The 101st Symphony was composed during his second visit\, between 1793 &ndash\; 1794\, and this group contains some of his most well-known works.
