SUMMARY:Elks Fundraiser to Benefit Lower North Fork Fire Families
DESCRIPTION:Highlighting the fundraiser will be musical performances by Joe Bye & Friends\, Kicked to the Curb\, The Bucktones\, Keith Riker and Moose.  Local businesses are donating goods and services for a showcase Silent Auction.  Tickets are available for a $10 donation (which includes food) and can be purchased in advance online at mrcco.org.  Tickets also will be available at the door.  \n\n	            All proceeds from "Community Rising" will be distributed to the fire survivors through the Mountain Resource Center\, the community organization that has been on the front lines assisting the 25 families whose homes were lost.   The displaced Lower North Fork Fire families have ongoing needs as they continue to deal with unsettled insurance claims\, too little insurance to cover losses\, plummeting property values and no guarantee of compensation from the state.
