He will discuss ?early wood? in spring and what it tell us of precipitation and ?late wood? in fall and how it relates to summer temperatures.\n\nAlso covered will be the biochemistry of autumn colors and the uses of dendrochronology\, which is the dating of events such as earthquakes by tree rings.\n\n\n\nIf time permits\, we might demonstrate coring a tree after the presentation. Cosponsored by Evergreen Audubon and the Evergreen Nature Center.\n\n\n\nRegistration is required\; call 303-330-0489.\n\nLimited to 25 participants\, ages 10 and up.
