DESCRIPTION:Grab your garden gloves\, sharpen your diggers\, and join us for the 13th Annual Community Weed Day. Volunteers are needed to help keep Evergreen Lake a healthy habitat for native plants\, birds and wildlife. Meet at the picnic tables near the Evergreen Lake House where refreshments will start at 8:00 am. We'll be working by 8:30 to finish weeding the entire perimeter of the Lake by 11:00. Please bring your own water bottle to cut down the need for plastic. \n\nEven if you can't help with the physical weeding\, Weed Day is for you! You are invited to stop by and see our display of local noxious weeds or bring plants in for identification and control information. \n\nCommunity Weed Day is sponsored by the Community Weed Awareness Campaign\, a coalition of Evergreen Audubon\, the Mt. Evans Group of the Sierra Club and the Evergreen Garden Club.
