DESCRIPTION:The 2nd annual Barks and Belts K9 5k to raise money for Evergreen Animal Protective League and Drivesmart.  Set in the mountains west of Denver\, the course begins and ends at Chow Down Pet Supplies in the Bergen Village. The course meanders through the picturesque Bergen Park area of Evergreen\, Colorado. Post-race festivities will include refreshments\, music\, food and pet-friendly merchandise and services offered for your perusal. Pet/Person contests to follow the race.\nWhy Evergreen Animal Protective League and Drivesmart together? Well\, why not? Both are respected nonprofit organizations that strive to make our mountain home a better place to live and play. Their respective messages and goals are universal and\, in coming together to raise money for both groups\, we are creating a partnership that can bring together people with diverse interests to create a more cohesive community.
