SUMMARY:AUDITIONS FOR THE ADULT COMPANY SHOW "LUCKY STIFF"
DESCRIPTION:HERE'S YOUR CUE! \n\nTo request an audition time\, get more information or just chat about theater stuff\, contact our adult company producer\, Jill Manser at: jmanser@stagedoortheatre.org or call her at 303-995-8311. \n\n\n\nLUCKY STIFF \n\nPerformances will take place September 14-29\, 2012 \n\n\n\nOPEN AUDITIONS: \n\nActors are only required to attend one day. Auditions are \n\nopen to anyone age 18 and over\, and all people\, regardless \n\nof previous acting/singing experience. Actors should come \n\nprepared with 16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre \n\nsong selection (an accompanist will be available)\, and a \n\n1-minute comedic monologue. Directors may or may not \n\nhave callbacks. Be prepared to dance and participate in a \n\ncold reading. \n\n\n\nWANT TO BE PART OF THE SHOW OFFSTAGE? We need you too! \n\nTech crew\, costumers\, hair/makeup\, lights/sound\, box office -- the opportunities await you! \n\n\n\nABOUT THE SHOW \n\nAbout the Show: Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty\, the \n\nauthors of "Once On This Island\," "My Favorite Year\," and \n\n"Ragtime" present this zany\, offbeat\, and very funny murder \n\nmystery farce about an unassuming English shoe salesman \n\nforced to take the corpse of his recently-murdered Atlantic \n\nCity croupier uncle on a week-long vacation to Monte Carlo. \n\nShould he succeed\, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit \n\n$6\,000\,000. If not\, the money goes to the Universal Dog \n\nHome of Brooklyn. The proceedings are sheer lunacy as \n\nHarry comes up against his uncle's insanely jealous and \n\nlegally blind mistress\, her much put-upon optometrist \n\nbrother and Annabel Glick\, a zealous representative from \n\nthe Universal Dog Home determined to see Harry's \n\ninheritance "go to the dogs."
