SUMMARY:Art in the Park Uncorked
DESCRIPTION:The shows are located in the Teacherage with gallery hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm\, Tuesday through Saturday. Opening Receptions follow the Evergreen Last Friday Art Walk\, 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The exhibit is open for the month following the reception. \n\n\n\nOpening Receptions:\n\nMay 27th- The Softer Side of Oil Painting with Prudence Gaston\nPru studied at the Art Students League of Denver and with numerous art professionals (such as Pem Dunn and others). Her love of landscape painting reflects back to her childhood in the outdoors. Her inspiration comes from seeing a morning sunrise and the long evening shadows play on a beautiful landscape. Learning to capture this on a canvas is a joy (and challenge) for her. \n \n\n\n\nJune 24th- Kidding Around at the Ranch:\n\n A Show Just for Kids with Carol von Michaelis\nCarol grew up in Golden\, Colorado where the surrounding mountains and open spaces inspired her love of wildlife and the outdoors. Because of her intimate relationship with the land\, she recognizes that nature and life by definition is imperfect thus informing her concept of imperfect artwork as a way to tell a story and portray the unique beauty of wildlife and the relationship between humans and animals. Carol runs a children's farm and loves the relationship between children and livestock. Many of her paintings are of the animals on the farm and the children who interact with them. \n\n \nJuly 29th- How I See It with Ann Caffrey\, Photographer\n\nIn the early 90's\, Ann enrolled in a number of photography classes at ACC and UCD. Photography has always been her first love with an occasional detour into pastel. Landscape is her primary subject\, but any object with interesting shape and color will get her attention. When photographing\, Ann looses all sense of time and place\; she is "in the zone"\, and what a wonderful place that is! \n\n\nReservations Requested
