DESCRIPTION:Thrivent Financial will put Mountain Resource Center (MRC) staff and volunteers in the hot seat before Thrivent members seeking projects for their Action Teams at a "Shark Tank\, Conifer-style" event on Tuesday\, Feb. 6\, 2018\, at 6:30 PM at MRC.\n\n\n\nThe event\, dubbed "Action Tank\," is loosely patterned on the ABC reality TV show "Shark Tank\," which lets budding entrepreneurs present their ideas to tycoons looking to invest in businesses and products.\n\n\n\nThe event will run from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at MRC\, 11030 Kitty Drive in Conifer\, Colorado. Refreshments will be served.\n\n\n\nMRC staff and volunteers will have three minutes each to pitch their fundraisers\, service projects and educational programs for 2018 in an effort to ...interest a Thrivent member. Thrivent members would be asked to commit to supporting these programs with their Thrivent Action Teams.\n\n\n\nThrivent benefit members are eligible to support/lead two Action Team projects per year. Thrivent members provide volunteers\, free t-shirts\, and promotional materials to support the MRC. The $250 in seed money that Thrivent provides is used to partially offset expenses of running the project.
